Birgit was first out!
The first season pass was bought this year by Birgit Katrine Rustad. Early in the morning of October 1, she logged on to Sogndalskisenter.no and bought a season pass! In October, there are promotional prices on season tickets, so you can save a few bucks by getting in early.
Birgit lives in Sogndal and is an avid user of the mountains and nature in the region. She is a trained geologist and came to Sogn og Fjordane from Tromsø to work at NVE with VARSOM.no in 2011. She first came to Førde, where NVE has an office, but later the mountains and the environment drew her to Sogndal. There she got an office space at Campus. She is one of the people who knows a lot about snow and avalanche risk in the region. She has also been a member of the Sogn og Fjordane Red Cross avalanche group since its inception in 2015. She now works for Asplan Viak and has an office in Leikanger.
Birgit and her family are expecting their second child in the near future, so she will be going on leave this winter. She knows that Dalalåven is a meeting place for active maternity families, and that we have great facilities to offer!
