Terms and conditions for purchase and use of lift passes as of October 01, 2024
1. Definitions - type of lift pass
Multi-day passes, day passes or three-hour passes are valid during normal opening hours for the date(s) stated on the card.
Season tickets are valid during normal opening hours from when we open the facility to the end of the season
Clip cards, peak passes and single tickets are valid until the end of the season.
2. Use of lift passes
Sogndal ski center does not have artificial snow and is dependent on natural snow. The opening date for the facility therefore varies. We usually open one or more ski lifts in December.
Unless otherwise stipulated, lift passes - with the exception of clip passes, summit passes and single tickets - are personal and may not be transferred or lent to others. Violations may result in the card being canceled. The user must be able to prove that they are the rightful holder of the card. The card must be presented for inspection.
A lost card will be replaced with a new card when personal data has been registered in connection with the purchase of the lift pass so that it can be blocked. The ski center has the right to charge an administration fee in connection with the production of a new card.
Damage to lift passes during normal use entitles you to a new pass.
3. Free for children
Children under the age of 10 or in 4th grade travel for free. They do not need a card in the children's section. Lift passes are received in person at Skipass. You can also register online and pick up the card in Skipass.
4. Terms for discount
Family cards can only be purchased together. A family shares a household, has joint finances and is legally bound to each other. The card is valid for children/young people (10-17 years) and guardians.
Senior is from 65+, with a valid honor card.
Student discounts require a valid student ID, which must be brought along with the season ticket and presented at the checkpoint.
For the purchase of Sognapass with Lurkarlag discount, we require a valid membership in Lurkarlaget in addition to a valid student ID. The list of those who have purchased these cards is therefore shared with the membership manager in Lurkarlaget. Cards purchased under this scheme without a valid membership will be deactivated.
5. Group discounts
Groups of min. 20 people receive discounts of 20% on day and evening passes provided they book together min. 2 days before.
6. Lose your season ticket
Lost season tickets will be replaced with a new keycard for NOK. 95,-
7. Evening cooling
Evening travel is included in the multi-day pass.
8. Rules for alpine traffic in the ski resort
Alpine skiing - including snowboarding, telemark and the like - involves a certain amount of risk. Cardholders are obliged to familiarize themselves with the international alpine rules of conduct and to act in accordance with them. You can read the alpine rules of conduct here:
In the event of any accidents that the cardholder is involved in - or witnesses - they are obliged to identify themselves by name and telephone number.
9. Right of withdrawal when purchasing a lift pass
In the case of remote sales - for example, when purchasing lift tickets online - the Act relating to the duty of disclosure and right of withdrawal in remote sales and sales outside of permanent business premises (Act of June 20, 2014 no. 27 - the Right of Withdrawal Act) applies.
In the case of sales from a fixed point of sale - for example, sales from the ticket office in connection with the ski resort - the Cancellation Act does not apply, but the general refund rules do.
10. Refund in the event of business interruption
There are no refunds on lift passes in the event of bad weather, fog, snow, icing, technical faults or similar. If you are unsure about the weather and conditions, please contact us before purchasing a lift pass.
11. any imposed shutdown
For those who buy a season pass from us, we guarantee a refund in the unlikely event that we have to close down large parts of the season due to a pandemic.
< 80 dagar gir 20 % refusjon av betalt sesongkortpris
< 60 dagar gir 40 % refusjon av betalt sesongkortpris
< 40 dagar gir 60 % refusjon av betalt sesongkortpris
< 20 dagar gir 80 % refusjon av betalt sesongkortpris
12. Operational interruptions that are beyond our control (force majeure)
In the event of a service interruption, the cardholder is entitled to an interim refund for the time the lift pass cannot be used. The service interruption must be at least 30 minutes and the sum of the service interruptions must be more than 1/3 of the validity period of the lift pass.
In the event of business interruption beyond our control, the refund will correspond to 50% of the precautionary refund to which the cardholder is entitled under the previous point. This applies in the event of business interruption as a result of, for example, weather and wind conditions, lack of snow, avalanches, lightning strikes, floods, fire, power cuts, strikes, public law prohibitions or injunctions, pandemics, etc. and which constitute conditions that the facility could not reasonably expect to know about at the time of purchase.
If the facility is open for more than 1/3 of the expected season, no refund will be given. If the facility is closed - for example, due to a lack of snow beyond 1/3 of the season's total number of skiing days, the cardholder can demand a provisional refund for the time the season pass cannot be used. The cardholder is not entitled to the full purchase price. Any refund claim is limited to 50% of the purchase price of the lift pass, regardless of the time of purchase.
The refund shall correspond to 50% of the proportional part of the time the lift pass cannot be used; the value of the pass divided by the number of opening days in the season. This "dagrata" is decisive for the size of the refund claim.
Any refund claims cannot be calculated until after the season has ended. Until the end of the season, the ski center can reject any refund claims.
13. Reimbursement in the event of illness or injury
In the event of illness or injury, the card user will be entitled to a conditional reimbursement of the card expenses for the time the card could not be used. The injury or illness must be documented by a medical certificate.
14. Sanctions in the event of misuse of lift passes or breaches of the alpine rules of conduct
The lift pass is personal and cannot be transferred to others.
Korthaldar accepts that misuse of lift passes, violation of the alpine rules of conduct, breach of guidelines and signage in lifts and slopes, skiing while intoxicated, etc. may result in the suspension/blocking of lift passes, expulsion from the facility and/or a police report.
Examples of misuse of lift passes include using the wrong card (adults using children's cards), using the card of another person, forged / stolen cards.
