It's getting close to opening
"It'll be some time before we can open the big trails, but the snow that came last night is worth its weight in gold to us. We're keeping our fingers crossed that there will be more.
The mild weather has meant that much of the snow that came earlier has melted. Furthermore, water has started to flow in the stream, which we have now been able to use to produce snow in the slope down around Kalvavatni, which is the most critical area in terms of opening up the Holen trail. The water in the stream up there is now running out, so we are moving the snow cannon down to the bottom of the slope where there is still some water to collect.
Until then, I'll be working in Toyota child traction and in Dalalåven. It's also nice to take the trip on mountain skis to Høgehaug.
Welcome to the mountains!
