Summer in Hodlekve

Summer in Hodlekve. You don't have to go high into the mountains to see majestic peaks in Jotunheimen.

May 1 was the last trip with the ski tow for this season. 

But there are still great conditions for skiing trips to Høgehaug, and all the beautiful mountains around us.

The northern slopes are still sheltered from the spring sun, and as long as it hasn't gotten high enough in the sky, you'll find some nice fluffy snow in many places. But if you're more of the sun-hungry type, the spring slush on the sunny south-facing mountainsides is probably preferable.  

Long bright days, the time of contrasts, spring down and winter up.

You get a bit of everything here in Sogn. 

There are many hiking opportunities in Sogndalsdalen.

There's a lot going on at Sogndal Skisenter this summer.

It's strange to say it. But now we want to get the snow out of our facility, as much as possible. So that we can start the summer season in full swing. 

Hodlekve is no longer just a ski center. Hodlekve is, and will be, a major destination all year round.

A hub for well-being, vacation, leisure, activities, beautiful nature and good times.   

Nordbohus bike park in Rindabotn, 1 kilometer of bike trail for the whole family.

As soon as the snow starts to fall, we'll be in full swing to develop the area even further.

We will tell you more about it later this summer.

But here you have something to talk to your neighbor about:

• - We're building a paved Pumptrack alongside Dalalåven. This should be ready for the holidays.

• - With the pumptrack in place, we have greatly expanded our cycling offer. There's more to come. We will soon have a master plan in place. Cycling in the city center. 

• - This summer you will be able to rent trail bikes from us, through Intersport's store in Dalalåven.

• - The Green Trail is ready, offering great downhill skiing in the winter but an easy way to get to the high mountains in the summer. Cycling uphill or hiking.

  The choice is yours. The outlook is nothing to complain about either. 

• - I have built Gapahukar in the green trail

• - We are building more hiking trails into the mountains and up the slopes. With a new footbridge over Reipa, you'll be able to walk dry-shod on the east side. Towards Kollsetevatnet, we're installing cloches and clearing beautiful new hiking trails.  

• - New trails in other places will also be added. Høgehaugstien will be spruced up, among other things.

• - We are improvingthe winter trail to Høgehaug. With a new gravel road over Stedjekamben, we remove the crux for our tractors. This means we can groom up there at an earlier stage and with less snow. The bonus is that you get an even longer season in prepped trails to Høgehaug.

• - Cross-country skiing is one of the major focus areas in the coming years. Together with keen enthusiasts, we are clearing better and new cross-country ski trails. Our ambitions are high and we are well underway. Just wait and see, there's a lot of exciting things happening on that front in the future.

• - Dalalåven will be open this summer. Here you can grab a bite to eat before or after your hike or bike ride. An exciting new menu is on the way. Local food and Dalagris. Many have tasted it, many have heard about it. "Dregen gris", Dalaburgar. Pulled pork, as they say in town. We've made it ourselves.

• - We collaborate with landowners, so this summer you will also be able to buy fishing licenses for the various fishing lakes in and around Sogndalsdalen. But you'll have to find out for yourself where the biggest fish are.

• - This summer, we're making car parking available in our large parking lots, an offer that comes after steady demand in previous years.
