“ Her  i Sogndal Skisenter Hodlekve er det full vinter. Her har me snø, rikeleg med snø”

ENOUGH SNOW FOR EVERYONE

Are you dreaming away to a good old-fashioned traditional winter with lots of lovely snow?

Where does the snowy winter go, you ask yourself, or maybe it's the children who are asking.

Then you can safely answer, in Sogndalsdalen, because there is always snow. Those of us who live here know this, and those of us who live here want and wish you just that.

Når nedbøren vintersdagen kjem som regn andre stader, kjem den oftast som snø i Sogndal Skisenter Hodlekve. Også denne vinteren me har i år.

- Winter so far has been a long time coming in many places, he came late to us too. But now he's here in full force. We are open every day until May 1. On weekdays, our main attraction, the Holentrekket, runs alongside the Toyota children's attraction. The children's train is centrally located in Rindabotn, and you also have a full overview of the children, either from the picnic tables or the café window in Dalalåven. We've had adults working from PCs and WIFI in the café, while the children play on the ground. So you can do several things in one day: a bit of work, a bit of skiing, a lot of play. Something for everyone. says operations manager Kim Andre Navarsete.

GrønLøype starts at the top of Holentrekket. Long, gentle and easy. Low threshold is the key word.

SKIING FOR EVERYONE ON A GREEN TRAIL

A new family offer in the high mountains opens up for even more people to experience skiing.

Skiing with us has never been easier. Now with a new low-threshold trail in the high mountains.

Once you've mastered skiing in a Toyota children's tractor, it's the next step up. A sense of achievement and the joy of skiing go hand in hand.

- We have put in place a new family-friendly Green Trail. This is a gentle, nice and easy alpine trail with an average slope of 10%. It's over 3 kilometers long, so you get a lot of skiing per trip.

This is the perfect trail for families and others who want to take it easy, without having to worry about steep sections. We can already see that this is a winner among families with children.

If you combine this with the Boligpartnert trek in Kalvavatni at weekends, you have the ultimate skiing experience for the whole family," Navarsete continues.

PANORAMATURANE

Boligpartnertrekket is another option that offers great views and skiing. Here you have a panoramic view of Hurrungane and beyond. The view is important because you'll have plenty of time to enjoy it on these gentle, beautiful slopes.

- All the smooth, beautiful descents from the Boligpartnertrekket are family winners in their own right. The views are a huge bonus, and the combinations are many. Ski up high or down low - you decide. It's free and open and there's plenty of space.

You'll often find Magnus Uglum Krogstad upside down in one place or another. Last year he had by far the most skiing days with us. Here he is on his way down from Holentrekket, 5 meters from the main trail.

Andrine S. Øvstetun (10) is also often seen everywhere. She uses every spare moment to go skiing.

WELCOME INDOORS

I “koronavinteren” anbefaler me at ein kjøper skipass online på skisenteret sine nettsider, for å redusera trafikken litt.

Høgehaug on a quiet and clear afternoon. Andre Mo Dalatun enjoys the last few minutes of sunshine. From Høgehaug, it's a gentle 4.5 km down to Rindabotn.

CROSS-COUNTRY AND TOURING SKIS

We groom our cross-country ski trails every day, which wind their way between mountain birches and across bogs. We have a 5-kilometer light trail and a 10-kilometer circular trail.

The cross-country skiing conditions are often good here, and people travel a long way to train with us. Keep an eye on skisporet.no when it's freshly groomed.

If you want to get away from these trails, the mountain trail to Høgehaug is a sure winner among locals. It's no more than 4.5 kilometers each way, so many Sogndøler use this as their "trip" after work on weekdays.

The sunset is magical from Høgehaug, just ask those who have been there!

-Høgehaug has always been popular with Sogndøler. We always start by laying snowmobile tracks, then we drive up with a tractor when the snow conditions are right. It's almost as if no matter when I drive up the trail there, I meet people. Høgehaug is incredibly beautiful and incredibly popular," says tractor driver Sondre Hallandvik.

A magical trip with dog teams. They are as kind as they are strong. The dogs of Fjord Husky love to run. Join us on a "bucket list" trip then.

ALTERNATIVE TO SKIING

Skiing fun and games in Hodlekve.

If your children want a little break from skiing, the Malin toboggan run has become very popular. This is a separate area dedicated to sledging. We also have our own sheltered area in the immediate vicinity of the picnic tables outside Dalalåven , which has become a great playground. Here you'll find building blocks, bumblebees and other fun.

Tobogganing competition. One of several activities that can be offered at weekends. But tobogganing can also be done every other day in Malin-Akebakke.

This is also where you'll find the organized activities we have every weekend throughout the winter.

Feel free to check our activity calendar before you come so you know what you and yours can join.

You can find the activity calendar here: ACTIVITY CALENDAR

Rolfhytta is a popular choice. Book it here: ROLFHYTTA

DRINK WELL LIVE WELL

You can stay with us for as long as you like. We have several large, beautiful cabins and apartments for rent. Ski in/out is what they call it, and we have that here too, of course.

An overview of what is available for rent can be found here: AIRBNB

If you want to take things a step further and become one of us, Sogndal Fjellandsby is an exciting cabin village that grows bigger every year. New beautiful cabins are popping up and there are more and more Hodlekveians to see all year round. Feel free to arrange a viewing and read more here: SOGNDAL MOUNTAIN VILLAGE

2021: Januar er også i år ein kvit månad i Sogndal Skisenter Hodlekve. Slik har me det.

"The fact that we have a lot of natural snow. We see that as a seal of quality. Something that indicates that we also have a lot of snow in the terrain outside groomed trails. So if you're one of those who enjoy off-piste skiing, hiking, mountaineering, snowshoeing, there's plenty to do for everyone.

The choice is yours, preferably from the top shelf.

So who am I.

Me er Sogndal Skisenter Hodlekve, eit familievenleg skianlegg i Sogndalsdalen, Sogndal kommune.

We have 7 groomed slopes, 5 ski lifts, 3 of them adapted for low-threshold and children. We have kilometers of mountain trails and great cross-country ski trails, in the birch forest we have light trails. Easily accessible Ski touring with downhill skiing in all directions. We have a total of 173 beds available in the cabins that make up Sogndal Fjellandsby, most with ski in/out.

We have ski hire, ski instructors, guides, a café, a playroom and, of course, room for you. It's a good ten minutes to the center of Sogndal, whether you need to shop or want to eat out at restaurants, cinema, or indoor climbing in Sognahallen. The rural town of Sogndal has it all.

Bluebird: The best days are made by you.

Holentrekket is the T-bar lift that takes you up into Høgfjellet. Here you have the opportunity to ski groomed trails or head out into the terrain. You can see Hurrungane well from the top here. Lift-based free skiing is underrated, and the best can be found here in Sogndal after a real snow dump. Often when the snow conditions are best, the air is also clear. "Whiteout" is a well-known phenomenon in many places, destroying the visibility of the best lines. But not on such a large scale here. Deep days on cushions between mountain birches as a reference point, open up for great skiing even if it is overcast, in world class. Don't forget the perfectly groomed trail with an average width of 45 meters. You can also take Holentrekket to get to Boligpartnertrekket. From the top of Holentrekket you can also ski GrønLøype, the family-friendly ski slope has an average gradient of 10% and you ski smoothly all the way down, without having to worry about steep sections.

Evening cooling: Kvar Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. In Hodlekvetrekket. Keep an eye on our website and Facebook when we open up for evening skiing this season.

The Boligparnter run is the T-bar run that has become the big family favorite in the high mountains. The 3 downhill runs are perfect for families with children who have somehow grown out of the children's run. The slopes are not too steep and there are great views. And several descent opportunities. The ascent to this lift is via Holentrekket.

Markus is one of our local trophies. He grew out of the Toyota tire at the age of 4. You can beat him.

The Toyota drive is the children's drive in Rindabotn. This is where the little ones learn their first turns. This is probably also where the joy of skiing is greatest, even if the slope is the smallest. This is where a new love of skiing and skiing pleasure is created. The attraction is located in the immediate vicinity of Dalalåven. There you'll find a playroom and a café, so it's a very short walk to a quick break. A hot chocolate and a waffle or today's locally sourced selection from Ellevilt AS

The tadpole move is the legendary pomade move from 1981. This is where it all started for us in the 1970s. The Poma lift walks defiantly every winter, this year it is 40 years old. It stands there steadfastly, pulling us up trip after trip. No one has done so much to facilitate pure and unadulterated skiing pleasure as good old "Poma".

Hodlekve-barnetrekk is located opposite Hodlekvetrekket, which is our old children's slope, but it is still in full operation today. Here, many a child's foot has taken the first steps to becoming a real avalanche dog. .

POW: Powder, powder, fluffy snow, downy snow, wild snow. A dear child has many names. The best forest skiing in the world can be found down Kokstadskogen towards Fjærlandsvegen (Photo: Terje V. Høihjelle)

Views for insight: The ski trail leads through a smooth birch forest up to Høgehaug and the snowy mountain. One of the easiest and safest mountain hikes. Perfect for mountain skis. Freshly groomed every Saturday morning when the weather permits. Wonderful.

Our cross-country ski trails are groomed daily as long as we have snow. Preferably from November to May,

At weekends we also ski up mountain trails, 4.5 km each way,to Høgehaug. Later in the winter, we also continue to Fjærlandsete and Sumhaug, this is the ultimate mountain trip on skis. Here you get everything on a golden platter.

Where do I find all this, you ask:

Did you know that from Bergen to Sogndal it only takes 35 minutes by plane, and from Haukåsen airport it takes 30 minutes to drive to Hodlekve. As a Bergen resident, this adds up to an hour from Flesland to the snow capital of Hodlekve.

From Førde, one hour and fifteen minutes.

From Florø, two hours

From Bergen, it's a four-hour drive from Vikafjellet or via Lærdal. If you have less time, you can drive via Høyanger or Førde.

Or how about sitting comfortably on board Norled's express boat in the Sognefjord. Here you can bring your office on board. Kill two birds with one stone

If you want to Rent a cabin you can find more about it here: HODLEKVE

Or how about the brand new Hodlekve Panorama 5? You can find it here: PANORAMA 5

If you want to own a cabin, the dream starts here: SOGNDAL MOUNTAIN VILLAGE

The ski center is open every day until 1 May. On weekdays, only the Toyota lift and Holre lift are open. But during the winter and Easter holidays, as well as on weekends, the other three ski trails in the center are also open. As long as there are conditions for it.

POPPIS: Olafen is popular on the children's slopes. The Toyota drive is where you meet him most often.

LAST TRIP: It's perfect, at the end of January, the sun is peeking over the edge of the tree line. Magic.

Live well in Rolfhytta

OFFICE: Nothing to say in the office of our tractor drivers.
