Hugging snow and nice temperature
On the ninth day of the new year, it's snowing and two degrees above zero.
First of all: Thank you to all our guests for a brilliant weekend here with us! Happy faces from early to late on both Saturday and Sunday. It's really nice to be at work here in the ski center.
This week we can offer 51 hours of open elevators. 10am to 4pm every day, and evening sessions from 5pm to 8pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. SIL's alpine and cross-country skiing groups have training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the first round of the SIL cross-country skiing cup takes place on Tuesday, January 10.
The light trail (5-kilometer) is freshly groomed until 5 pm every midweek day. On weekends, the 10-kilometer trail is groomed until 10 o'clock in the morning. The mountain trails are groomed until around 11am on Saturday and Sunday.
The weather outlook this week is a mild start with a couple of degrees of warmth on Monday, but then it will creep down a little with promises of drizzle from Tuesday and throughout the week.
Many thanks to those of you who have tipped money for the preparation of trails for cross-country skiing and hiking so far this season! It costs a lot to drive a heavy prepping machine, and the contributions to our Vipps account are crucial to keep up the activity in this respect.
Unfortunately, we don't get public funding for the preparation of mountain and cross-country ski trails, as we did in the old days. So one more time: Thank you very much to those who donate! Tip to: 85540
