A changing world and freshly groomed trails
The society we live in has undergone enormous changes in just one short year.
It's more like Høgehaug on a sunny day, as opposed to when it's rainy and completely white, where you can't see anything at all.
Who would have thought that two so similar are also two so different.
TRACK: We use snowmobiles and tracklayers in tow when conditions are not suitable for the larger tractors. In this way, we get the longest possible season with prepped tracks to Høgehaug.
RUSKEVÊR: Days without hikers are days you can still meet the tractor at Høgehaug. - You have to pack the snow before the wind takes it. Zero visibility is no obstacle. GPS helps where the dense row of markers gets lost in the white inferno," says driver Ørjan Bakken.
Just as there is always a new spring at Høgehaug, we can only hope that it will soon be time for another change, also out in the world.
But before spring comes, we all have a job to do. We need you to keep you and yours healthy while we groom our trails for as long as we can and as well as we can.
If we keep the trails open, you have a safe place to be, a safe place to air your thoughts, reflect, get a good workout and get some fresh air.
There's finally been a little more snow, and we've finally made it to Høgehaug with the tractor.
We've also been able to do some long-awaited laps of our cross-country ski trails, as the conditions are great over there now.

Preparation of our races:
Evening days: The light trail (5km) is ready until 17:00.
Weekend: The light trail and 10km are ready for 10:00.
Hiking trails over Høgehaug, Fjærlandsete:
As a minimum, we try to prepare for every weekend. After we've finished with the cross-country trails. But also more often when there are good conditions.
Welcome to the mountains.
LANGUAGE: Høgehaug is only so long that it's easy to train both young and old together. Some even get Høgehaug in their mother's milk.
