Preparation of cross-country ski trails

After consultation with the municipal doctor in Sogndal, Sogndal Skisenter will continue to groom cross-country skiing and hiking trails, as long as the ski center can afford it.

The feedback I have received from the municipal health service is that it is important to have a low-threshold offer that is organized and safe, considering the risk of infection and the possible use of resources by the rescue and health services.

It is not recommended to go Ski touring out in the mountains now. So in consultation with the municipal health service, the conclusion is that:
- The hiking trail to Høgehaug is a very good alternative and any rescue is easy. We ask everyone to keep a minimum distance of 2 meters from each other, and otherwise follow all other advice from the authorities and health services regarding the spread of infection and risk of infection. We do not want gatherings of people around Dalalåven or other places. Keep your distance, and look after your dog for those who do. Dogs must be kept on a lead.

When the ski lift is closed, we lose all income. In particular, it is noticeable that we have lost what is by far our largest and most important source of income in the sale of lift tickets. What should have been a high season is now a pure loss every day. The cost of prepping a trip on the cross-country trail is approx. 1500, - A trip on the mountain trail costs us 3 to 4000, - depending on the snow. I therefore greatly appreciate that they help to take the cost that is greater for us by paying the voluntary trail fee NOK 200, - VIPPS: #85540
